Apply for Admission: Now Is Your Time

Apply to New England College when it works for you, anytime throughout the year.

Your application and transcript will be reviewed when they are received, and you will receive your admission offer and scholarship information in about two weeks.

Application Process

Begin by completing the NEC Application at nec.edu/apply or the Common Application at commonapp.org. Complete whichever application you prefer.

Once you are admitted, you can confirm your enrollment and accept your scholarship by submitting a $300 deposit.

Transfer Students

NEC is 鈥渢ransfer friendly!鈥� You can transfer up to 90 credits toward a bachelor鈥檚 degree at NEC. You will receive your transfer credit evaluation within two weeks of being accepted.

International Students

Early Acceptance Program

Apply to New England College early and qualify for an extra $2,000 scholarship, renewable each year, by following three easy steps.

1. Apply by December 1, 2024 | $1,000
   Apply online or through the Common Application.
2. Visit Campus by January 1, 2025 | $500
   Schedule a tour of NEC鈥檚 beautiful campus.
3. Submit FAFSA by January 1, 2025 | $500
   Complete and submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning in December 2024. Be sure to select NEC (Code 002579). You鈥檒l then receive your full financial aid award from NEC in the mail and email.

General Admission Requirements

These documents are reviewed for admission:

• Completed application for admission, including self-reported GPA. Complete either the or the . If completing the Common App, simply select New England College so that NEC can receive your application.
• High school transcript (unofficial transcript accepted for admission, final official transcript required for enrollment)
• College transcript (for transfer students)
• Optional for all programs: standardized test (ACT or SAT) scores
• Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs: portfolio of 15鈥�20 images of your work shared via or your Instagram handle (required before enrollment, not with your application)

If you take any college courses during high school, be sure to ask your high school to send your official transcript to NEC before enrollment so that the courses can be counted toward your degree.

BS in Nursing Application Requirements

NEC Nursing completes a holistic admission review for every applicant. In addition to NEC鈥檚 general application requirements, nursing applicants must complete the following admission requirements

First-Year Applicants

• Overall high school GPA (average 3.12 for admitted students)
• Grades in college prep math, science, and English courses
• Two letters of recommendation
• Personal essay
• LNA Licensure is a plus
• TEAS, SAT, or ACT optional
• Interview optional or upon request

Transfer Applicants

• Overall college GPA (average 3.0 for admitted transfer students)
• Grades in science, math, and writing courses
• Two letters of recommendation
• Personal essay
• LNA Licensure is a plus
• Interview optional or upon request
• TEAS optional (within one year of application)

In addition to NEC鈥檚 general application and nursing admission requirements and to progress throughout the program, applicants must at their own expense:

• Hold or obtain a New Hampshire LNA license before the first cooperative experience
• Be and remain eligible for employment as an LNA at a partner institution
• Complete a criminal background check before first cooperative experience
